Since the founding and bringing into service of Kieswerk Löbnitz (gravel quarry) in 1992, and Baustoffwerke Löbnitz (factory for making building materials) as associate companies in 1996, the DIRINGER & SCHEIDEL Group has been able to call modern and quality-controlled plants for the certified production of building materials its own.
The D&S Group’s Transportbetonwerk founded in Mannheim-Neckarau in 1996 is one of the region’s most modern production facilities for concrete and recycled building materials. It was the first plant in northern Baden-Württemberg to become certified for its own mix of recycled concrete.
Kieswerk Löbnitz / Gravel Works
The current area of the Kieswerk Löbnitz covers almost 350 hectares. Approx. 750,000 t of gravel, gravel mixtures and sands in various grain sizes - including coarse gravel, wall sand and play sand according to DIN 18034 - are extracted and processed here every year.
Baustoffwerke Löbnitz / building materials works
In addition to gravel and sand, Baustoffwerke Löbnitz also produces and markets porous bricks from its own factory production through direct sales.
In addition to their own D&S construction company, the major customers of both quality-monitored plants include building materials dealers and well-known DIY store chains. The D&S project developers are putting the excavated pits to new use. Thus the 85 hectare weekend and holiday home area Mühlfeldsee was created in the middle of the Central German lake district.
Ready-mix concrete plant Mannheim
Certified products and regular monitoring of the operation by the Concrete Monitoring Association (BÜV) guarantee the highest quality. In addition to all grades of concrete, our ready-mix concrete plant produces recycled C 30/37 concrete, which is regularly used in buildings. Pre-production stages such as crushing, screening and sorting of excavated material and asphalt take place directly on site and are professionally supervised. Mineral construction waste is used to produce QRB-certified Reyclingfrost protection material for use in road construction. Liquid soils for use in hard-to-reach areas in civil engineering and pipeline construction, as well as backfill material made of gravel and sand are also part of the plant's product range. Delivery ex works takes place directly to the construction sites in the region.
